Wisconsin cheese: Eat it, read about it

Master Cheesemakers
James Norton, editor of The Heavy Table, “a Twin Cities-based magazine passionately telling the stories of food and drink — from roots to table — in the Upper Midwest,” and Becca Dilley, a professional photographer and frequent contributor to The Heavy Table, will discuss and sign copies of their new book, The Master Cheesemakers of Wisconsin,at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19th in the Main Lounge on the second floor of the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street.

According to the Center for the Humanities, which is sponsoring this event, Norton and Dilley “drove 7,600 miles during the winter of 2007-08, interviewing cheesemakers, listening to their stories, tasting their cheeses and exploring the plants where they work.”

There will reportedly be wine and cheese served at this event, which is free and open to the public

Norton and Dilley will also sign copies of their book at a cheese tasting at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 20th at Fromagination, 12 South Carroll Street.
