It’s winter and that means slippery ice and snow-covered sidewalks. If you’re a City of Madison resident, you may obtain free sand from the stockpiles the Streets Division makes available this time of year. Please note that the sand piles, which are located on the East and West sides of Madison, are for the use of individuals and not contractors.
