From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24th, kids ages 6-12 can participate in a class at Whole Foods Market, 3313 University Avenue, that will teach them how to make traditional dishes from the “ration and reuse” World War II era, including Mock Apple Pie, Mashed Potato Volcanoes, and Toad-in-the-Hole. The class is part of a new “Time Traveling Table” series intended to explore history through food and cooking.

There is a $10 fee for the course. If you’d like your child to participate in this class, please register and pay 48 hours in advance. Register in person at the Whole Foods customer service desk or call (608) 233-9566.

Update (8/11/2010): A MOTC reader just sent us an e-mailing telling us this class is full and there is a waiting list.
