Free paper craft patterns for Santa & reindeer project

December 5, 2010

This paper craft project from Canon and artist Katsuyuki Shiga (PinoArt) is not for beginners. But if you have time and patience, you can create a very nifty Santa Claus and reindeer set.

And besides, any project that calls for a bodkin (as well as scissors, glue, and a ruler) appeals to our love of whimsy.

If you want to try making this paper craft project, you may download the patterns and instructions from the Canon website. You’ll need to make several downloads in order to have a complete set of patterns and instructions. If you are in the United States (or another country where 8½” x 11″ is the standard paper size), download those documents with the LTR suffix. The documents with the A4 suffix are for those countries where the standard paper size is A4.

This project is relatively cheap to make. All you need is Adobe Acrobat to download the PDF patterns, a printer, HEAVY card stock, the tools we’ve already mentioned and a bit of patience and attention to detail.

Note: Izzy the Intern is always wary about telling children to use scissors and wants to be certain they do so only under parental supervision. That said, let the downloads begin!
