During the summer and early fall months( June 6th – August 31st) Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) offers 90-minute pontoon boat rides on a drop-in basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $5 per person (children 3 and under are free).

All trips begin and end at the Tenney Park Boat Pier, 1615 Sherman Avenue. A free informational flyer about Madison area lakes is available at the boathouse.

Reservations are not required for the drop-in rides: It’s first come, first served. You pay at the dock.

In addition to the drop-in rides, MSCR offers a variety of specialty pontoon boat trips, including Harry Potter Days, Social History Tours, and Sunday Breakfast/Brunch Tours. Prices for these specialty tours range from $10-$25.

For a complete drop-in tour schedule, as well as information about the specialty tours, visit the MSCR website Pontoon Boat Program Information Page or refer to the MSCR 2011 Summer Program Guide that was mailed to all Madison residences.
