We finally have the scoop one of Wisconsin’s most popular — and many would say best — lutefisk dinners.
The Vermont Lutheran Church Lutefisk/Meatball Dinner will be held from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 15th, 2011.
The menu includes lutefisk, meatballs, potatoes, gravy, green beans, lefse, rolls, cranberries, relishes, rommergrot, Norwegian goodies, coffee, and milk. The cost is $16 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
Seating is by reservation only and mail reservations must be received no later than October 8, 2011. If you are not on the mailing list (and have not received a reservation form), contact Don Parrell at (609) 767-2427 so he can send you one.
Many of the annual lutefisk dinners are so popular that sponsoring organizations don’t need to make much effort to publicize them. Word-of-mouth will fill all the seats at the table. We’re still trying to put together a comprehensive list for 2011. In the meantime, you may want to check last year’s list to get an idea of when and where you might be able to dine on lutefisk and lefse this season.
