Greetings,

You might consider adding the following lutefisk dinners: Utica Lutheran Church near Ferryville, mid Oct; Five Points Lutheran Church near Boaz, toward the end of Oct; Orfordville Lutheran Church in Orfordville at the end of Oct; Iola Winter Sports weekend lutefisk dinner at the High School, early Feb; Norway Lutheran Church near Wind Lake, early Feb.

My wife and I have been going to lutefisk dinners since the 1960′s. We maintain a database with our personal ratings, update yearly, and usually attend 4 – 7 dinners a year depending on our schedules. I spent my early years in Iola, and something must have happened!!

Thanks for the great information, Mr. Ayers!

We didn’t find this comment until late, but we did add Orfordville in time for the information to be useful. We also added Utica Lutheran and Five Points Lutheran to the list even though those dates had passed. We start each new year’s list by updating the old, so adding them will remind us to check with them in 2012.

It’s been difficult to find any information about the February 2012 lutefisk dinner in Iola. The Chamber of Commerce website has been out of order and the most recent news reporting we could find was a January 2011 story in the Waupaca newspaper. We’ll try to remember to check again for a news report in 2012.
